2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Still D1 status for me.
Dealer told me someone else ordered a 1500 and he's been in D1 since July.
I know some of you on here have been waiting since May. that sucks.
looked like things were picking up there for a bit, but I will wait my turn. :)

I think any status assigned prior to actual production began was a SWAG (scientific wild ass guess). I was in an out of D1 multiple times from order date and into September. Wait time before production began is really irrelevant. However, production scheduling should absolutely consider date ordered!

I think that most of us should be thankful that we are not riding the west to east rail lines from California ports across AZ and NM. That route is always backed up with east bound freight. Especially now with the Christmas shipping season upon us and the backlog of 100's of ships in SoCal ports. The north, south lines out of Mexico should not be nearly as bad. Only issue becomes when you reach a major connecting hub where rail freight is consolidated with the west to east lines. Not to mention the shortage of truck drivers. Hope you all have already done your Christmas shopping.

Surprised this morning when my sales rep sent me a text. He said that nothing has changed yet. Only 2 weeks since I ordered so not surprised by that, but was surprised that he reached out to me before I could text him. Bought my 2020 Ram from this dealership, seems like they want to earn my business again.

Anyone that ordered through Mark Dodge have their truck shipped to them instead of picking it up? If you've already gone through that process, please send me a message.

I am under the impression that "ship to you" is not an option. I purchased from Mark, and plan to make a trip from Ca, to pick it up when it is completed.

I plan on doing that. They will not have a problem with it as far as I know. They will also drive it up to 250mi. to a delivery point. Maybe a bit further if you ask nice. Will be looking into options soon. I haven't asked Sandi yet if they have a transport company they use. Prob will source my own. Keep ya posted...

So, 8 weeks ago I placed my order for a 3500 Laramie Mega HO with lots of options, in D status. Once the build n price came up last week I saw a few more options I wanted. Reached out to my dealer and apparently they aren't available with the Laramie now. So, Limited it is! 8 weeks later.. back of the line!! LOL

Keep me posted on how this unfolds! I'd much rather have the truck delivered to a local dealership.
When I (briefly) discussed this with Sandi, she said that the truck would need to be picked up from their dealership. Independent transport is an option and would run me +/-$1200.

Yes, Mark Dodge will absolutely allow the truck to be shipped to the customer. I was hoping since they delivered quite a few now someone could give me some insight on the process, not theoretically but with specifics.

help a brotha out when you get that sorted, that would be great!

I just reached out to Sandi regarding this. She mentioned to me previously about driving it approx 300mi. to my location when I was in Texas. Now I'm in AZ for a bit, I just might have it shipped here. I've done this countless times with vehicles I purchased in the past. Don't see why this would be an issue. We are in a world with docusign and remote notaries. I just closed my home sale online 2 days ago and got my proceeds in my bank account the very next day. If anything paperwork can be overnighted.

Yes, it is irrelevant, but parts to build the truck should have been ordered at that time to ensure the truck was ready to build. Early orders should not be in the parts gathering phase.

Completely agree. People who ordered in May/June should have gotten priority in my opinion. I really wish there was some insight as to how Saltillo is selecting which trucks are up next on the block.

How many units COULD the Saltillo plant produce, per day, IF the parts were available? What is the production capability?
