She cant give you status right now because she was just assigned to my case and its priority
The limited will come with Rambox standard unless it’s deleted.
Give them someone else's vin and von. It will feel super cool for a minute when you hear your order is shipped! Then reality will set in.Just for the daily torture I did a Ramchat. Same answer as every day. But I feel so special that the rep is "escalating my case to Cara". I almost died laughing after seeing so many people on here getting "escalated to Cara" the robotic email Goddess that doesnt exist and sends out standard computer generated emails. Sad that this is what they tell people to appease them and hold them since they clearly dont have any answers for anyone. I know they are less informative than the dealer and all that jazz lol. I find it all humerous. I didnt make it home from work in time to catch the sales manager at my dealership today. Will try tomorrow lol
The question came up earlier today of why NE couldn't be ordered on 22's. Dunno why the quote button didn't capture the conversations. Long story short I can order a fully optioned 21 NE is what i didn't understand. It's not a paint shortage mentioned 5 pages ago. From what I've read, people are being pushed to 22s even tho they ordered 21s. That's what's confusing.Been discussed several times, but NE has power folding mirrors. Power folding mirrors were removed from all trims lower than Limited due to chip shortages. Thus, NE removed from Laramie and Big Horn trims.
Most likely temporary.
2021 orders stopped being accepted more than 5 months ago or so. If you were shifted from a 21 to a 22 at the start, you would have been able to get the NE on a laramie. You can no longer order a 2021, it doesnt matter what costco's website says, or even ram's for that matter. Talk to your dealer. The question came up earlier today of why NE couldn't be ordered on 22's. Dunno why the quote button didn't capture the conversations. I much rather would if it came in 6 seater.whats there to understand, they dont let you order it on the 2022's simple as that. Order a limited
Thanks for the heads up. I don't have a dealer, that's why im asking questions.2021 orders stopped being accepted more than 5 months ago or so. You can just order the laramie 6 seater, and do the NE swap, which will cost you about $3000 for the headlights, trim, etc. Thats roughly before re-selling the headlights that come stock. Either way you will have to sacrifice somewhere, either no NE or no 6 Seater. Or you could wait and hope they bring it back at some point.I much rather would if it came in 6 seater.
That’s exactly what I did. I wanted a Laramie and was gonna option it out as I would a limited but they got rid of some of the packages that would make the Laramie similar to the Limited so I ordered the Limited. They have limited supply and the chip shortage on top of that....and the focus is where the money is...i.e. Longhorn Limited and Limited's. That's where Ram makes their money... therefore....that's where the parts go first. My dealer did tell me back in late June 2021 that the top two levels get the priority whether they are sold vehicles or dealer order for the dealer lots. The Limited's will always will get the parts either way (you might have to wait). A customer ordered vehicle will get what's ordered/available at that time.....that is how it was on July 1st when I ordered my loaded Laramie (but I might have to wait a while to get it). Since then the situation has changed as too many lower level trucks have been ordered and the supply chain/Chips can't keep up....so Ram took away certain items on the lower levels that were once an option i.e. the Laramie's and Big horns. I think Ram see it like this....if the customer wants a certain option bad enough....the customer WILL order the top of the line Trucks. If I had it to do it all over again...knowing that I would have to wait....just didn't know how long and still don't know how much longer for the loaded Laramie...I would have ordered a Limited....knowing now how short certain supply chain items are....just my two cents.
Another thing is I think if you order packages to get certain items it will hit production quicker i.e.....like I did......I didn't order the Max tow package (because I didn't want the factory fifth wheel hitch) I ordered the rear air suspension, 4.10's and the 5th Wheel Prep package all separate....I think this slows things down...but I could be wrong.
no offense, I would rather them build the trucks that they have already agreed to build before starting more recently ordered Limited and Longhorn builds.I would love to see my order expedited as it’s a limited but I doubt that. I think when they have everything they need to build a bunch of Limiteds and are finished with whatever trim levels are on the line now they’ll do a run of Limiteds.
Hmm, ordered a 3500 Limited Mega-Cab 06/22, still no build sheet, window sticker, etc. They have limited supply and the chip shortage on top of that....and the focus is where the money is...i.e. Longhorn Limited and Limited's. Yeah I liked her too.Renae was a pleasure to work with. She got mine ordered Sept 13th. Going to be close to Lake Charles Wed. But being my trucks not there. Will go on to Tx. Looking at a Giant slide in Truck camper for the bed of my new DRW. Triple Slide truck camper and new truck. Going to do some traveling and fishing.
I agree with you that that’s what they should do but unfortunately I believe the guy that posted how he thinks they prioritize their builds. I’ve also heard the same thing from others.no offense, I would rather them build the trucks that they have already agreed to build before starting more recently ordered Limited and Longhorn builds.
I don't think the dates I have been able to collect are enough, or reliable enough. What would be cool to see with you guys so well versed with Excel is a line chart showing total number of D1 by date and total number of build sheets by date. It would show if production increases. Something to do while we wait for trucks lol.
Well with my order from Mark Dodge they have you sign a non refundable deposit for $1000. If you didn’t sign something like that then you should be able to get your deposit back. I had a dealer in California once change stuff on my order so I canceled it and they threatened not to return my deposit until I threatened them with a visa dispute then they caved. Another time I canceled an order the dealer had zero problem whatsoever. So I bought another vehicle from them a couple years later.Hey so i got a good deal from mark dodge. If i cancel this current order will i get the deposit back? how should i go about doing it? First time dealing with this situation.
Yep exactly what I heard and one of the reasons I ordered a limited.Been discussed several times, but NE has power folding mirrors. Power folding mirrors were removed from all trims lower than Limited due to chip shortages. Thus, NE removed from Laramie and Big Horn trims.
