2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Greetings all, longtime lurker who reads and learns. I ordered my latest Limited on 10/6 and here to wait with you. I will chime in on one thing, if there was going to be a stop sale involving multiple automakers, the business news would be all over that. News like that would affect the entire market especially causing the automaker's stock to take a hit.

I've seen all the posts about price increases after ordering, but has anyone else have their new order price actually go down? I had my salesperson print me out a new POC today with the VIN on it, and MSRP on my order has actually dropped in the week since I ordered. Not dramatically, only $65, just seemed odd to me after all the recent price increases.

That was today's little bit of surprise good news. On the other hand, I got a taste of how little Ram/Stellantis cares about customer loyalty, something I'm guessing many others are experiencing based on this thread. During my order process last week my salesperson stumbled across two $500 certificates assigned to me good towards the purchase of a new vehicle that expire in November. I have never received anything in the mail or via email advising me about these offers and had no idea they even existed. The program indicated that as long as the new vehicle was ordered or delivered prior to the expiration of the certificate it would be valid. As part of trying to get our ducks in a row today my salesperson called dealer services while I sat there to ask if anything special needed to be done since the certificate is obviously going to expire before my truck actually shows up. It was then we learned that the certificates were good only on 2021 models, and 2022 models ordered beginning on October 7th. My order was placed on October 6th. After some back and forth on the phone my salesperson is told that no exception will be made for my order, the certificate will not apply. Now $500 isn't going to make or break a $70k deal, but you would think after having purchased/leased 7 new Chrysler brand vehicles in addition to 5 pre-owned ones in the last 20 years they would be a little more willing to work with me. If the program rules had said anything about the October 7th stipulation then I would have certainly had my salesperson submit the order the next morning but it said nothing about model years, just eligible models. I know this is trivial compared to orders from 5 months ago going unfulfilled, just thought I'd share my experience with the group!

I went on a week and a half road trip and there were over 50 pages added to this thread. Geez, didn't have time to go through it all.
Stopped by my dealer and I'm still in JS. So waiting on the bedliner, waiting on chips, waiting on shipping, who knows. No window sticker yet.
Not to stir the pot, but this is what the dealer told me after checking my order. He had just met with his FCA rep and was told that there will be a Stop Sale on all HD Trucks in 10 Days (9 now). He had one 2022 on the lot and had to sell it before that time or else he wouldn't be able to sell it until the Stop Sale was lifted. Apparently Chevy/GMC is in the same boat with a stop sale. His Rep also gave him no info on how they are choosing to build trucks, its a mystery to even the FCA reps. They have orders before mine that are still in D status. He did say that he couldn't order any 2500s for his lot, so sounds like they are prioritizing Sold Orders. I have to assume this is related to the Emissions Chip missing and the EPA is putting their foot down? I also assume the Stop Sale will include customer ordered cars. Anyways, the **** show continues.
Isn’t the Chevy/GMC stop sale due to quality control (chafing on wire harness)?

Ram chat today finally said all parts are received and production should start soon for my 5/31 Laramie order. Is this something I should be excited about or just more random computer generated nonsense?
There’s quite a few of us May orders getting the same info. So I think it may be cause for cautious excitement. My build date moved 10/18 to 11/01 but haven’t checked again. I’ll reach out to dealer next week for my 4 week checkup and celebrate then

All their big gas motors are floating lifters and bending push rods, even after rolling of the lot new. I’ve been looking at a new Yukon Denali XL for my wife but I won’t touch those motors. I said well I’ll get the 3.0 diesel….they have put a hold on that motor as of several weeks ago. The diesel has a long crank problem and they can’t seem to pin point it either. I give up…

My 2017 has snap in chrome pieces, I was hoping to get some decent wheels. Shame on me….

I don't mean to hijack this but finally got my VIN # from my 5/14 order. Loaded Longhorn diesel, 3C6UR5GL5NG101534 Called Ramchat - it is in JS status - shipped to storage - I have been following these posts for a while, I seem to remember this means it's parked waiting for final parts? It now has a build sheet but now window sticker.
