2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Yes people will buy trucks, we understand that. But less likely to buy at an inflated number if they do their research. If RAM gets the money right away, then the dealership (depending on cash flow) will have to pay RAM using their line of credit with the bank, that they will pay interest on. So you think in that case dealers would be requesting their pre-sold trucks: #1 to build up cash in the bank from loss of revenue with no inventory & #2 to stop us from constantly bothering them for updates.

Good example of a large local dealer here that has a 2021 Big Horn diesel that is priced at MSRP, wouldn't budge on the price. Also a good amount of incoming 2022s on their site. The truck is still sitting there 3 months later. The market is not the same across all 50 states.

Wasn't sure how RAM's business is conducted and wasn't sure if they provided payment terms whether it was 30-90days or 6 months, or immediately if it is marked as a retailed order.
Dealers want cars on lots. Dealers want cars on lots because, as evidenced by the hundreds of pages of this thread, people are impatient. They can charge MSRP or add in ADM and make way more than folks ordering regardless of the floor plan arrangement.

From all the info available, this seems laughable.

I asked a time frame other day just to see what I got and was told 7-9 weeks lol

That wouldn't make sense. When a truck is ordered as a sold unit then RAM knows that is guaranteed money paid back quickly. Dealer stock, depending if they receive terms, might take a while to sell with prices holding at MSRP+. So the money isn't coming back to RAM as quick. RAM wants trucks delivered (R&I'd) as soon as possible.

The vins I have been seeing are NG122XXX and up, my sequence is NG119525. My guess is someone takes a shot of tequila and spins a wheel!
NG102294 ordered 5-17 and it just went to D this past week. Probably won't see it until November if I'm lucky.

If thats the case, you are not the first one to suffer this problem - clearly they should have a fix and know whether reflashing will fix or they need to send dealer a new screen or a new truck - and FCA should have been able to answer you on first day you had problem - and there probably should be a TSB or recall if it affects safety / driveability of vehicle - seems like a bit of a run-around. Heres hoping the reflash solves the problem and keeps you happy with truck. Fortunately you seem to have a persistent dealer.
I couldn’t agree more. The Tech Bulletin was sent out on 10/2 so the dealer, FCA and Uconnect should have known and 1 - updated the truck before i picked it up or 2 hit the database as soon as I reported the problem and they would have seen the TSB!

in all honesty, it was a guy on THiS forum who got me the bulletin number before anyone else!! I then passed it along to the dealer and to FCA. Then, magically the regional Uconnect people called me with the same fix! Coincidence? Probably not!

the dealer has been very attentive to the issue - aside from flashing And searching for a TSB. I have their commitment to unwindnthe Whole deal, give me my trade back if the flash doesn’t work. They don’t have to do that.

How would fifth-wheel prep hold up a truck? It's 5 holes in the bed.
It seems like a non issue but with all of the ports backed up and demand so high it can affect any part of the process. The bolts for the frame are stuck on a boat? That's a sad thought but that's where we are!

My truck made it to the NS in Chicago. It took 19 days and in a outbound track. It took 10 extra days to make it to Chicago on BNSF because of Christmas rush is in full swing for the railroad. Now the NS trip should be 9 days so I figure it will take 3 weeks to make it to Baltimore. Took my 16 to the dealer today for them to put the emissions back on. They are giving me 63k .

You've got to figure in, they just started production of the '22 HD in early August. We are all sitting at just under 8 weeks technically. I ordered mine 7/17 and have an estimated ship date of 10/23. I know a lot of you ordered clear back in April/May and 100% should have taken priority. Like mentioned before, I don't even think Stellantis knows how they are sequencing these trucks through the plant. I personally think its some guy with giant dart board and smaller than regulation dart winging it. Whoever it, hits is up next

I am glad I chose to order later I was going to back in late June early July and glad I didn’t. Just knowing so many ordered couple months before 22 even got started to be built I’d really gone crazy. Crossing fingers for this group of us to all get our trucks soon

Good grief........With all the unsubstantiated rumors goin around as to what individual part is holding up production, I'm surprised anything is getting out of the plant. Next thing will be "they ain't got no steering wheels"
Ordered mine with that special edition Lamborghini steering wheel! Order code found was DBD.
