2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Anyone else think RAM should put in an Easter egg in every ordered truck!? It would be a fun way to show ordered versus dealer stock!

An Easter egg specific to your order would be cool, but at this point I’d settle for another one of these with a “2022” for the model year

What did you order? Did you get a good deal? I ordered from Ram in Aberdeen and got it way way below Msrp . Loaded Laramie Drw
I ordered a big horn mega cab srw. I can't say that I am getting a screaming deal compared to some others here, especially the Mark Dodge crowd. I'm getting 8.5% under MSRP, a good price for my trade, it's relatively close to where I live, and has lower sales tax than other areas I was looking at. This dealer was also the only one that I talked to who would play ball and not try to rip me off.

Sales tax is based on where you live/register the truck. Not where you buy it.

Maybe in California, but not in Washington.
In WA you pay the sales tax of the locality where you buy the vehicle. The only exception would be if I bought the vehicle in say, Oregon which doesn't have sales tax I would then pay the rate of the place I live, plus .3%. For used cars you pay a "use tax" according to the sales tax rate of where you live.

Hi all-
I got my build sheet and window sticker for my 2022 Limited Longhorn, when I built the truck the Longhorn level 1 option had power deployable running boards listed, but I don't see them listed on build sheet or window sticker? I didn't order the limited because I didn't want black interior, I wanted the cattle brown and black. Am I missing something? I really want the deployable steps, and assumed the 2022 had them since they were listed in the longhorn package, and there was no option to add them. When I ordered my truck in July it still showed 2021, so I am a tad nervous now. My 19 Longhorn had them.

Anyone know the answer?
I just had to order a Longhorn because the dealership got my order wrong (canceled it) and the Laramie drop the options I wanted. With the list of options it showed Power Deployable Running Boards (MY7) in the Longhorn Level 1 equipment group (A69) so if you have Level 1 it should be there. Hope you get it.

That up to 4% for the local government where the dealer is on top of the state 6.5 and whatever the tax is where you reside right?

I ordered mine from Dave Smith in Idaho, I have gotten some great deals from them in the past, but this time I guess I am paying MRSP.

I specifically told them that I required deployable steps, so if my truck comes with the fixed boards I will see if I can get them to do something, but I doubt they will. I really don't want to reorder and get put in the back of the bus. These dealers have gotten so cocky now that there is a shortage of trucks, I really hope that their lots fill and they have a hard time selling them (wishful thinking), just to knock them down a few pegs. The dealers local to me in Monroe wa want a pot of gold, so crazy.

I was offered 75k for my 19 Longhorn by a few dealers, I hated telling them I sold it to my son for $65k.

I keep checking Ram chat, still in “pre schedule”
Big Horn regular cab 6.7HO

It’s only been 2/3 weeks but man I’m impatient lol

Thank you OldMan1954, I sure hope so too. These are crazy times in trying to get a truck you want, it really shouldn't be that hard when you have the finances to get them.
I sure hope your order is a fast one.

It takes the longer than a day to move them from the plant lot to the shipping lot!
I'm only stating whats on the FCA screen shot straight from their computer. I sent it to you if you want to look. I didnt say I agreed or disagreed, only stating what I was given.

In LL1 unless you make choice under Step options for Full Length or Wheel to Wheel fixed which over rides the LL1 power deployable steps.

For new cars it is whatever the state and local combined tax rate is where the dealer is located. Washington State sales tax is 6.5% plus .3% for vehicle sales, then 1.7% local tax in Chehalis (8.5% is actually lower than the rate I pay in my rural town). I will pay this sales tax on the price of the new truck minus the amount I'm getting for my trade-in. This is just how they do it here, other states are different.

It looks like when I select Dual rear wheels it automatically checks fixed steps. I just went through the build process a few times trying to find out why, and every time I click the dual rear wheels it selects the fixed steps, then when I de-select dual rear wheels it unchecked the fixed steps. Well I guess I will look to see if AMP power steps work with a dually.

I seen that too, but was hoping there is just a mixup since the Longhorn package says deployable is included. I might be adding AMP steps, UGH.
Better order them now. Amp site says 20 week delivery. I found some in stock somewhere and ordered them last night
