2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Ordered a Limited 9/9 (161870 last VIN numbers) and thought I'd waste some time with Ram chat just now. Got this...

Thank you so much for holding. I am showing all of the materials needed to start the build process have been received. The vehicle should be entering the build process shortly. Currently no Dealer ETA has been provided.

Wish I actually believed they had the materials at hand. They said the order has been in that status for 13 days and that they no longer gave out codes but that "some people have gotten coded from their salesperson". Just not gonna bother Mark Dodge on it yet.

I'll go back to my corner now....:)

My truck is at the dealer, unfortunately I cannot pick it up until next week since I need to tow this weekend. No way I can put 500 miles on before Friday and I will probably need a new draw bar for the hitch. I will see if I can get down there and get some pics to post before then.

For you data oriented folks, the local dealership is showing a 2022 RAM Big Horn 6.4L on its RADAR (sticker and build sheet exist) Vin: 3C6UR5DJ5NG145570, dont know if its a sold one. Robert Sawyer would be the man to tell you!
Laporte CJDR has 2 nice BigHorns also.

So my latest POC said my truck should ship Oct 1/21. This was early last week. Then I found out about the shutdown a day or so later. Now what? If it was supposed to ship Oct 1, then it would have to have been built earlier by 2-4 days? I’d be shocked if it was built and shipped before the shutdown. Any insight into this would help. Thanks!

There's literally no insight other than guesses. I personally wouldn't even trust the ship date. You sits...and you waits...

Not receiving good news today. Checked in my truck, it was supposed to initially be here today, then it got pushed back to the 11th, now they are saying 10/20/2021 and then she goes on to say there is some issue with shipping and I should reach out to my dealership. This is starting to sound bad again. By far the crappiest experience I’ve had ordering a Ram. The 2014 I ordered was handled sooooo much better than this one. Hopefully some of you have better luck than I’m having

I ordered mine or the dealer placed the order on Aug 2nd for my 2022 RAM 2500 LONGHORN MEGA CAB 4X4, Ram Box, Level 1 group, with just about every option. Received a Vin and D1 status on Aug 11th. Been inputting the VIN in the link provided on the other post, with no Vin found message. Then checking every day it showed up on the link on Sept 8th with full listing of Truck and Options included all the detailed tracking request from dealer but as of today the dealer has yet to see a delivery date or any further information
Got an update today from the Dealer "If God willing it will be here by Halloween". Seriously that's the quick email reply from the sales manager.
Where are you keying in your VIN?

Dealer update:
"Saying it hit its second rail departure still says ship date 9/17, it's obviously past that but we should be seeing it any day now"...

Is anybody familiar with the rail routing from Sausalito to Michigan?

Taking a quick look at the order list on here, I don't see any Laramie Crew Cab models with build sheets or window stickers. I see Mega Cabs, and Chassis Cabs, but no crew cabs. Anyone here have any movement on Laramie Crew Cab orders?
I ordered Laramie CC 6/11 loaded no sunroof
Ram Chat says all parts are available for build and waiting for build schedule
Dealer doesn’t seem to know anything except be patient

Yeah, I've been D status since mid July. Then, it just went to C status last week. Some say that is good, some say it is bad. I was just trying to see if there is a block on CC Laramies for some reason.

UPDATE:
Ordered 6/14
3500 HO SRW Limited / No sunroof
W/ L1

Per Ramchat:
I am showing that at this time, your order is in the stage prior to being released by the plant. Your vehicle may have been selected for additional quality inspections or held for delivery purposes. If being shipped via railcar, vehicles maybe held until there are enough units to fill the shipping requirements.

My ship date was supposed to be 9/22 but according to Ram Chat it is waiting for a train. Hopefully they are wrong and its already on its way to USA.

Mine has been in the same status for weeks. 2500 Limted Mega cab. I asked the dealer for an update, but he’s out till tomorrow. I sure hope it’s on the way. Been using my sons 2020 1500 Rebel like a 2500. It’s not liking life right now. Ok a side note…. Bullet spray in liners are absolute trash.

It should come into Michigan to the Jeep plant in Detroit, then it will be trucked to the dealer.

go get your truck bud, don't leave it there to get man handled, take a trip then tow away.
