2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

So since everyone that ordered after me is getting movement I decided to take a look at the list. This is only Laramie or above trim, Mega cab, cummins.
All trucks have Blind spot. And this is only Our list, small sample size and only what i listed above. Ram seriously needs to look at how they are doing their planning. All Batch build theories are shot as far as I am concerned. seems more like a lottery system. And again I am happy for these people, but for real txsportdiver ordered 2 MONTHS after me from the same place.

Need financial advise if you well,

when you guys ordered your trucks, did you have the bank loan ready and if so when do you actually pay for the truck, upon receipt or before it gets shipped? i guess when is the time to go the bank and apply for the loan? I know most dealers require min deposit of 500-1000. when exactly your bank send the money over. I am paying half cash and half finance to lower my payments. can you please shed some light on that process. first time ordering a truck?
I might be late on answering this question, but the dealership does make money on the back end, the finance department. I was able to get the dealer cost on the extended Mopar warranty and less on money on the sales price by letting them charge me an extra 1% from the rate I could get either through them or through a bank. Now you only have to keep it with the dealership for 91 days, and then you can pay it off or go to a bank or credit union without the dealership taking a hit. This saved me about 6K on the out-the-door price and was done after I went into the finance department plus several thousand on the warranty.

I only used my trade for the downpayment, yes it was paid off. I honored my word and went 100 days and refinanced with my back at a lower interest rate at my back with no fees and this is when I put in my cash deposit that I was going to use for my truck. Then I paid on this off fast, payment was like 1K a month and I paid 1K when payment was due and anywhere between 250-500 every Friday on my payday. Had the Truck paid off in 11 months! I never added up what I would have paid in interest if I would have gone the full term on my truck but I know it was in a lot of money.

Awesome great news thanks for the info, really just trying to get an order received and into production before they really run out of chips and end up with another hold on shipping like has been seen with some other manufacturers trucks
Production start on 8/9, most of us on here are waiting for chips on May orders.

I got the famous email "your order is given prioritization through to delivery". How much merit is in this? Has anyone who has received this email actually gotten a message after the fact with updates? Thanks!

Zero. It is a standard form letter. Much like the RAM chat responses unfortunately.

Out of all the equipment listings I have found so far and parsed through with some Python (17,587 of them right now) it seems the tech features are potentially a big bottleneck.

I ordered a Laramie with the digital mirror, surround view, trailer surround view, and blindspot monitoring.

None of the window stickers I've found include all of those options on a Laramie. Except for two of the development trucks which are sequence numbers 6 and 129.

It makes me feel a little bit better that while I'm seeing trucks ordered 2 months after mine, there is certainly some logic to it.

I'm trying to make this data available in a spreadsheet so that anyone can filter it and figure out if trucks have been built after their sequence number with all the same options. Just need enough time to do it.
Wondering if the new XN1 Trailer Surround option is an issue. Have you seen any built with that option? I saw a truck very similar to mine and close in VIN with a build sheet(https://www.jeep.com/webselfservice/BuildSheetServlet?vin=3C7WRNELXNG116893) Just doesn’t have the Trailer Surround option like mine does. I am still stuck in D status with a 6/30 order date.

I'm going to finally have to tell RamChat that I am kind of a big deal. People know me; my house smells of rich mahogany and many leather bound books.

This will definitely make my order prioritized!!
Dang we got Will up in the house.

Congrats on the new truck!!

I only have a piece of paper right now, no truck. Hopefully I will have it soon but just in case I have my shanks ready for the back of the dealership lot.

My truck: 2500 CC, Longhorn Limited, Perl White, loaded (Cummins, Air suspension, Rambox, Sunroof,…)
Ordered: 6/30/21 ($1,000 down)
Partial VIN sequence number: NG117434

I called my salesman a week ago (9/10/21) to ask about status. Sales manger called me back. Manager spoke to his Ram representative and reported the following: My truck is number 17 in my “build group“. My truck build (D1) will start on October 21st. The build will complete on Oct 25th. It will ship soon after. I should expect to receive the truck from my dealer in North Carolina the first or second week of December.

I’m wondering if this is similar to what @Spreader was saying:
My estimated ship date was 9/16 so I figured I would check with ram chat to see what they say.

They said : "Your vehicle has been built, however, it is still pending quality inspections and addition of optional packages. Please check again with us in a week or 2 for further updates on your vehicle order status."
