2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Spent some time working in a body shop. Sun roofs are fine, I have had a few over the years. Mostly stay closed like most here say. As far as the leak risk, and cost when ordering I chose not to get one.
Just a fair warning to everyone with cab lights. These trucks have very thin front leading edge seals. It barely takes any water pressure to blow the seal in. The leak will drip out the pull handle. I wouldn't advise directing any pressure washer stream in that region.

My friend, if you are back check out walker they are the best dealership in the state this is my 3rd truck I've bought from them.

I live down the road in the Barboursville area. I ordered from Goldy last month so hopefully that wasn’t a mistake… they actually beat out Walker on pricing.

Can we preemptively reseal? RTV perhaps?

My friend the guys at walker would have beat them if not on price but with this service. I will forever go to them for my trucks.

I plan to on mine. There should be a single screw on the top going into a capacitive plastic anchor in the cab Sheetmetal. Should be able to take a thin swipe of silicone to the underside of the gasket. My hope is this will keep the gasket from migrating.

I'm hoping to replace mine with the snow blue "color is really white with a slight blue tint" like I had on my 18 ram.

That’s exactly where my sunroof on my 20 limited leaked into . Leaked thru a bad seal down grab bar onto the floor. 4 visits to a dealer with absolutely incompetent service techs . Finally got sunroof replaced but now my headliner isn’t tight as it was so I’ll never get another sunroof

I just messeged my sale man and asked for a updated poc and was shocked when he told me it went to d1 on 9/16 .. i messeged ram chat after i found out and they confirmed.. the lady on ram chat was even surprised she asked "just out of curiosity did you order 9/11" ‍♂️
I am seeing several Limited Longhorns on cargurus.com with window stickers so seems those are getting pulled frequently. Must be a higher margin configuration.

Not sure if this has been posted yet, but Kernersville Ram seems to have just got a 2022 Big Horn on their lot.

I had a 2019 Limited 2500 with sunroof and cab lights...it leaked.
I have a 2020 Limited 3500 with sunroof and cab lights...it leaks.
Both leaks were/are out of the oh crap handle, the pivot point for the drivers sun visor, and one of the plastic grills (microphone) up there.
The leaks occurred after a pressure washing as well as several rain storms.
I honestly don't know if it's the sunroof, the sunroof drain(s), or one or more of the cab lights. I traded the 2019 before the problem was solved.
On the 2020, the dealer replaced the sunroof...and the drain on another occasion. Problem not resolved.
So (not just because of the leaks), I ordered a 2022 Limited 3500 with no sunroof. It still has the cab lights. I guess we'll see if that's it's problem...but, preemptive silicone sounds like it's in my future.
