That's awesome to hear. That give's me hope that I still might get my Laramie before 22'Just talked to my dealer. My 2500 Limited, all options except a sunroof, went to D1 Status with an estimated build date of 9/8. Looks like there is movement.

I think dual alternators are $295, what is driving up the price that high? For anyone wanting to do changes to their original order, I contacted the dealer for a change request to add dual alternators since my order is still in D status and I was informed that if RAM accepts it; my whole order will be re-invoiced which will make it subject to any price increases that have taken place since my original order which would total out to $2390. Definitely not worth the dual alternators!!
If you modify your order and it is accepted, all price increases that have taken place since your original order and revised order will take effect, thats why a 295.00 alternator option turns into 2390.00.I think dual alternators are $295, what is driving up the price that high?
It’s not the price of the package that’s driving the price up, but rather that they have to re-invoice my original order to the current prices. I originally ordered 6/8 and if I was to order the same truck right now it would be $2390 more. The nice thing is that it confirms price protection for my current order if I don’t request the change.I think dual alternators are $295, what is driving up the price that high?
I would have hoped the price increases would only be as of the time the request for change was accepted. Not at time of build. If you modify your order and it is accepted, all price increases that have taken place since your original order and revised order will take effect, thats why a 295.00 alternator option turns into 2390.00.
That is how the price increase is applied. I wish they offered price protection for the current order and just increase the price for whatever the current cost of the package is thats being added. Unfortunately I didn’t realize how inexpensive the dual alternators are until now or else I would have added them to my original order. Oh well!I would have hoped the price increases would only be as of the time the request for change was accepted. Not at time of build.
I also requested an inexpensive option be added after my order about a week after I originally placed it. It would absolutely not be worth thousands more to me though.
I was told the same thing in regards to the truck being re-invoiced. I ordered 8/14 and requested air-ride a few days later. Hoping there’s no new MSRP changes...For anyone wanting to do changes to their original order, I contacted the dealer for a change request to add dual alternators since my order is still in D status and I was informed that if RAM accepts it; my whole order will be re-invoiced which will make it subject to any price increases that have taken place since my original order which would total out to $2390. If you really want dual alternators you can add it after you buy the truck. I believe it was done over on the Cummins forum on a Cummins HD. I do know if you have it on your truck and don't use it and want to turn it off you can with the Alpha OBD. Ask @Jimmy07 I'm pretty sure you can turn it on via Alpha OBD. He can tell you exactly what you would need (part numbers) as far a harness, new serpentine belt, mounting, bracket, alternator etc..... It will be much cheaper than $2390...LOLFor anyone wanting to do changes to their original order, I contacted the dealer for a change request to add dual alternators since my order is still in D status and I was informed that if RAM accepts it; my whole order will be re-invoiced which will make it subject to any price increases that have taken place since my original order which would total out to $2390. Oh baby....OUCH!!!It’s not the price of the package that’s driving the price up, but rather that they have to re-invoice my original order to the current prices.
