2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

With the prices you all are being given from the dealerships, have they said the price may fluctuate due to changes in costs of materials? The local dealer gave me that line.
I bought on a group buy but was told my price will not change. This is my first time ordering a vehicle and I’ll have to drive or fly to get it so I’m hoping that is the case. A friend of mine ordered and received a truck smoothly and at the agreed upon price.

It can fluctuate until ordered as a sold unit in your name on the Chrysler site. Then, although it can and will change, the dealer applies for price protection from the date ordered at the time of final delivery.

Seems like a lot of BS that dealers have to go through. Price should automatically be locked when you order…not the customer’s fault the manufacturer’s costs went up while waiting to build/deliver.

I so agree. It seems to work for Stellantis. They haven't owned fca for that long. They are still learning their way, right? Lol And, to be fair, there are so many things in this world right now that I don't agree with. It makes this issue pretty small.

Regarding pricing increases.... Once you order your vehicles and get a priced order confirmation, the dealer is able to claim price protection when your vehicle is delivered and they nvdr it (register you as the delivered owner with Stellantis). However, they have to do this step correctly.

Obviously price protection is fairly complicated. I notice in the Sales Code listings that there is 16 different levels of price protection (code A to Q).
Are you able to explain what the different levels are? I don't mean every one, just the general difference.

I would have thought that when you lock in price protection you were either covered or not. My Sales Code is 3AB - Price Protection - Code B

Here is my order.

This dealer has a special first responder discount. The discount for 2021MY was $11.5k off msrp.
For the 2022MY it is going to be about the same.

Which camera is used for the avf package then? I plan to have a shell on my truck
AVF comes with an auxiliary camera that you can mount on the back of the cap. Feed goes to the digital mirror.

Whoever is in charge of marketing should be fired. Noone should be able to order a 2022 before the 2022s are available on the website
I think what you mean to say is that by the time 2022s are available to order the website should reflect that. But when the ability to order 2022s came around the 2021 was still in production. Not defending FCA by any means. What they should of done was have a Build Your Own 2021 and Build Your Own 2022 button for both MY.

Ford did it. Entertained, just for a few minutes, getting one. Buddys, dad owns a Ford dealership in La. Liked the idea of getting a Tremor package on a Limited or Platinum 3500 and the newer Sync with the big screen is nice too. But with all the pros and cons of Ford vs Ram, I decided to stick to Ram. And the fact that he wouldn't even deal off of MSRP really made my decision easier. Haha.
