Haven’t wanted to bother my dealer again so I checked with Ram chat. They said I was in the scheduling phase, so presumably back from D1 to D status again with the others I’ve seen post here.

Without adding the "Instrument Panel Mounted Auxiliary Switches" option is there room/spaces to add 1 or 2 auxiliary switches? I really only need 1 or 2 auxiliary switches which I am capable to run myself. Do not foresee myself having any need to have 6 available slots.

I emailed Sandi and she says that Mark Dodge will look up and charge the appropriate sales tax for the location you plan to register it, and is only required to do so if you are financing the truck, giving you the option to pay there at delivery or at home when you register if paying cash.

So for anyone ordering there, now you know what to expect.
Exactly I'm paying cash therefore I'll pay my own taxes in my state

Probably part shortage

Just put the order in, pretty much ended up checking all the boxes. Surround camera, blind spot monitor and harman kardon were on the wish list and sounds like you have to check every box to get that combo with these weird over lapping packages.

Look at Trigger4 switches. I have them in my current 2020 that doesn’t have Aux Switches. They work really well and you don’t have to run wires into cab. The switches can be mounted anywhere, even in the console. It’s wireless (in cab).

You can get them in 4 or 6 switch. If you’re waiting for truck to be built, I’ll sell you mine, for a good deal when mine arrives. Possibly earlier. My truck I’ve ordered will have the Aux switch and I won’t need them.

If there ends up being a chip shortage, does anyone know what the chips actually control? All I know is they affect the BSI.

My salesman said that the chip shortage is only affecting Rams key fobs and you will only get 1 fob with 2022 trucks

The day I ordered, the dealer told me the only shortage they were aware of was the DPF Level Chip. So they'll build the trucks without that sensor, then when the sensors become available, they'll do a recall and have you bring the truck in.
