Just received an update from my dealer i am in D status, ship date is 08/13/21, they believe it will likely be froday or saturday before more comes available

Makes me wonder if at some point I was also in D1 status and went back to D status. Oh well I plan to check back with the dealer in a couple weeks.
 
I checked with Ram chat on Monday for my Big Horn gasser that I ordered 5/27(103057). They told me that I was still in the "gathering parts stage" they were escalating my info request to a brand specialist and I should receive an E-mail in 2 days. Nothing yet.
 
Just got word from my dealer my truck is still in D status - ordered 06/15. He also told me that he had a couple orders go into D1 last week but then go back to D status.

Patience is a virtue
 
They can go from D to D1 and back to D for a number of reasons,in this case,probably part chip and part fresh assembly line startup of 22 models,getting the bugs worked out.

I was hoping there'd be some relief on the chip shortage, but I keep seeing it's more the overall shipping/logistics stuff is completely hosed still. Driver shortages, container ships parked offshore. RAM is the only one I haven't seen a story about having inventory sitting around somewhere, although maybe it just hasn't been reported.

I'm glad I don't really have major plans for mine until next year, but I debated (probably longer than I should have) about a tech-loaded Limited vs. something more basic. But, I'll impatiently be patient for now. :p

seems like that was a terrible decision by Ford (and others). They have partially built 2021s waiting on parts. Guessing they CAN’T be sold as 2022. So when the chips DO show up, they’re selling old stock.
 
Been lurking here a while. Thanks to many here, I was able to narrow down my build, find a dealer and get my truck finally ordered.

Ended up with a 2022 2500 Longhorn MegaCab 6.7L. The order was submitted on 8/3 and is currently in "D" status. Ordered from Dennis Dillon.

Again, thanks to this forum for all the info. I'll be sure to update as my build status progresses.

Congratulations!.....do you have your vin#?
 
Put my order in on Saturday 8/7. 2500 Longhorn, 6.4 gasser. I expect I will see it just in time to park it for the winter.
