2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

I've never looked at the 1500 product line, but it seems probable that we would be seeing the same type of letter soon - especially since production of HD is about to start.

I don't think 1500 owners saw that option being added. I hope they'd add the HUDs to the HDs also.

Hey folks. Playing around with orders and stuck. Was originally going to do a Laramie highly optioned. After building a Limited, it really isn't that much more. Stuck on whether to do air suspension or the off road package. Thoughts?

Are you looking at a 2500 or 3500?

When I ordered I ended up going for the Limited just because the pricing was so close. The leather is better on the Limited, and for me and my plans, I was good with a small price increase to get that and a few other bells. (It is a bit more, but not a lot). As far as air suspension -- if you live in a cold climate, you may want to look at reliability. I've seen guys in Canada say it works fine. My brother lives in Wisconsin and he's had his compressor replaced 4 times. Take that small bit of data for what it's worth.

Good luck w/ your decision/purchase.

I'm looking at a 2500. I do live in Colorado and that was a concern. However my neighbor has it and hasn't reported any problems. I was wondering if it improved ride quality at all (I know it reduces squatting which is a big plus in my opinion). Neighbor said he really couldn't tell difference from air suspension versus regular. I'm deployed now so I can't test drive :(

Those were my thoughts as well. For the few extras, my increase was only $4k. Better leather, better lighting, better color. And with the deal I'll get from mark Dodge, not too hard of a pill to swallow.

I was going to do a Laramie,my Bighorn was about 4k cheaper with equivalent equipment.

Diesel being at least 30 cents more here plus all the other stuff, gas all the way, loved my V10 I had for 15 years

Diesel is cheaper here right now by 10-30 cents/gal. Currently $3.29 before discount at my local haunt. On the road recently, I've paid about the same but I see an upcoming trip's fuel stop is $3.68.

I filled up my Audi yesterday and it was $75 for 18 gals of premium @ $3.99 after .20/gal discount.

I filled up the truck in mid July 2020 for $1.069/gal after discount.

Diesel is not cheap in Michigan,I just filled up my DT at 2.60 for 87 octane.

I went with a pretty optioned out Laramie as I had to have 6 seats. Not an option on the limited. I did 3500 no air and will add an airlift system after the fact for the adjustability. From what I have read the rear leaf pack is different on the 3500 vs 3500 with the factory air and does ride better unloaded.
When originally ordered I had zero plans of going with a big 5th wheel so went mega cab. I have since ordered a carbon toy hauler. Although I wish I would have done CCLB, I’ll be alright, but glad I went 3500.

They take a bunch of leafs out with rear air.

Just got a message on my phone from Stellantis about my order, called back and left a message,I will try to meet with him or at least talk to him about the 22 differences,he did say my order is looking near the end of August for production, maybe I can find out more about the option packages.

Tech Authority has not been updated.
Looks like they updated the mobile version a few days ago, and basically “broke” it, making it extremely hard to navigate. It also dropped the 2022 MY selection from the HD Rams, because as of a month ago, I could get service info and schematics for the 2022 HDs. OTOH, 2022 ram DT is selectable.

Makes me think, without any evidence but the spreadsheet we have, that Laramies seem to be the first batch. They seem to be the most frequently ordered among this group, You ordered a day after me and was told to check back in 3-4 weeks.

Sigh. I'm just excited...and anxious.

I’ve seen very few megas with a ship date also. And ZERO mega 3500

Certainly looks like they are doing a run of Laramies first. even with the ship/build date of 8/11 I was still told to check back in 3-4 weeks. I think it still takes a while to get shipped from the factory after being produced and am guessing the 3-4 week requests are just to keep thing manageable for those we ordered from. All those who took orders are getting slammed with emails from everyone right now trying to see if they have a build date. I held out as long as I could, before asking for an update today lol.
