Anyone else having issues with Android Auto just randomly dropping connect and throwing an error message on the UConnect screen? My truck has always done this is certain locations, but over the last two weeks or so it is doing it randomly. I've removed AA from my phone and reinstalled it, I've unpaired and repaired the truck and phone, and I've also cleared the cache in AA. None of these things has helped.

I have not issues with AA staying connected in our BMW.

I've not tried the USB connection, but it sounds like that would not fix it anyway. And of course I have 36, 341 miles on my truck now :(

My old phone had AA issues like you described. Upgraded phones for other reasons and no more issues. Always kept AA updated. How old is your phone?

Happens with my CarPlay everyday numerous times
My '23 had issues with the radio unit. In addition to CarPlay not connecting, my maps would switch to km automatically and I couldn't correct.
Finally had the radio replaced in December. Stellantis "Engineers suck". I had worked with my Dealership Service Director, it got so bad he finally went to his Regional Director, and got the replacement radio shipped in two days, and installed two days later.
Unfortunately, CarPlay is beginning to act up again... Ram Care response "... you need to schedule an appointment and...". So, if I bring it in again, I'll be without a truck for 7-10 days while my service guys wait for the Engineers to "get back" with them...

It is pretty old and I was looking at upgrading it regardless of this issue anyways. The odd thing is that my phone stays connected rock solid in our BMW. There are a few spots around town that my PW will drop the AA connection every single time I pass that location, not in the BMW though.

I just upgraded my Uconnect 4 to a Uconnect 5 and I am having this issue as well. Phone disconnects whether its connected by USB or Bluetooth. Never happened with the Uconnect 4.

I know this thread is a bit stale, but I'm constantly losing my wireless connection with Android Auto. Both my wife's Galaxy S23 Ultra and my Galaxy S23 Plus lose the connection. We don't have any connection issues in my wife's 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I recently had the antenna replaced as I was getting the "Uconnect" error on my screen. I was hoping that would be the issue as it seems the phones keep dropping the wifi connection, but it did not resolve it. I guess I'll be adding this to the list next time I take the truck in for service. Its annoying as there is no rhyme or reason that I can determine. I'm not looking forward to the "can not duplicate" response or them having to drive my truck all over town adding miles and burning my gas.

Has anyone got their issue resolved recently with the connection issues?

Jerad,
I had issues with "APPLE PLAY" connections and the Navigation automatically going to and locking in on Metric. My Dealer saw the Navigation issue and kept running into a wall with the RAM/Stellantis "engineers". I finally needed to talk with the Dealership Service Director, and push it to the Regional Director level, with the understanding if he got stonewall as well, I was going to go down the local "Lemon Law" path. It was at his point that Stellantis finally decided to approve and send a replacement radio/headunit/ aka "black box".
Everyone up to the Regional Director had issues with Stellantis, even with a "STAR" use initiated. In fact it was discover that the engineers had closed out the STAR case because they felt the dealer "dropped" the case. Just because a "STAR" case is initiated don't get too excited about resolution. The "engineers" are not very responsive, and expect the Service Techs to stop what ever they are doing and sit in a running vehicle to troubleshoot the issues.
It appears that you too have a questionable radio/headunit. I would insist the Dealer Service open a STAR case. If the Dealer pushes back, then push it to the Regional level. Yeah, you'll need to kill time on a service visit, but the STAR case is the only way you'll get resolution. Apparently, the Dealer can no longer replace radios (and other things) without approvals ad nauseam. It sucks this has to be done, especially since wireless connections are not new.
